Posto fantastico! La casa ti fa immergere nel clima del lago di Como e ha tutto quello che serve per un piacevole soggiorno.
La frazione di Vezio è un piccola meraviglia grazie al Castello e alle tante passeggiate che si possono fare.
La posizione centrale ti permette sia di raggiungere diversi luoghi per visitare tutto il Lago sia di passare giornate di relax.

Amazing place! The house allows you to live the atmosphere of Como Lake and it has everything you need.
Vezio is a little fascinating town, I appreciate very much the castle and the possibility to walk around.
The central position allows both to reach a lot of significant place to visit Como Lake and to enjoy relaxing days.
I wish I will be there again!

We absolutely loved Casa Almut! It’s in a cute and quiet town high up the mountain. Take a cab for an easy 8 minutes drive from the train station, or if you’re feeling adventurous hike 25 minutes and work up a good sweat. The hike down to Varenna is only 15-20 minutes.
Casa Almut was very clean, comfortable, and just what we needed for 2 nights. Cristina is extremely accommodating, responds quickly to messages, and gave us wonderful recommendations. She greeted us where the taxi dropped us off at and walked us to the house. She made sure we had everything we needed and lives just next door if we needed her.

Our stay was amazing and we recommend it to anyone looking for a small town adventure and competent in navigating new cities.

Very nice apartment located adjacent to the castle above Varenna. The rooms were very comfortable with all the amenities we could have asked for including a full kitchen, laundry, and spacious bedroom. The view of Varenna and Lake Como from the entrance was amazing. There was also a restaurant a few steps from our apartment.
The host was very responsive and helpful both in advance and during our stay. She was quick to reply to questions through WhatsApp.
This location is probably best for someone with a car. The apartment is up a steep path above Varenna. We found it to be about a 20 minute walk down and 25 minute up. Our accommodation was that we went to Varenna and took trains or ferries all day to other places, and returned after dinner in the evening. We found that getting a taxi without a reservation was very difficult, however it was much easier to get some WhatsApp contact information (provided by the host) and make reservations. We ended up using one driver for most of our needs which worked out very well

Ein kleiner ruhiger und altertümlichen Ort.
Die Lage war sehr schön, da wir direkt neben der Burg und wunderschönen Aussicht vom Castello di Vezio gewohnt haben. Morgens muss man ca. 15 min einen kleinen Pfad in die Stadt runter laufen. Aber man kann sich auf dem Weg frisches Quellwasser auffüllen und dabei die Leute beobachten, wie sie zur Burg hoch laufen, während man selbst gelassen runter läuft.
Am Abend ist es möglich zwischen 9 pm und 12 pm einen Shuttlebus for free zu nehmen. Man sollte nur aufpassen, dass man nicht länger als Mitternacht in der Stadt bleibt, damit man das Shuttle noch bekommt.

A beautiful Italian house with a history in an amazing location. Everything was just magnificent! Cristina is a very hospitable hostess. These are not just apartments for a couple of days, but it feels like you are going on vacation to the house of your parents or beloved grandmother. Everything is so cozy and homely! Thanks for all.
