We spent a couple of days here in 2006 and loved it so much we wanted to go back as we had such a good time there. Carmine and Pina ( the proprietors ) are both very friendly, warm and obliging and you will recieve real genuine Italian hospitality. Totally disagree with the previous reviewers remarks about the area being run down and depressed. The area is very typical of many of the old towns in Italy, if you want pristine and perfect then you can find that just down the road in Sorrento but if you want to see how real Italians live then this is as good as anywhere,||||The B&B is not on any main bus routes but if you enjoy a bit of exercise it's a 15 minutes stroll down into Sant Agnello where you have all the amenities, yes it is a little bit more than a mile into Sorrento but it's not a big deal to be honest and the location in the hills above the town is wonderful. If you don't fancy walking the owners will gladly run you down the hill and pick you up at any time, you just have to call them and they will be with you in minutes,||||The breakfast is fresh and was more than adequate for us, home made cakes, fruit juice and the best home made orange marmalade you could imagine. If you don't fancy going out and just want to chill you can relax with a bottle of vino in the lovely garden surrounded by lemon trees and flowers. If you want to see how real Italians live and escape the tourist bustle of Sorrento then this is the perfect place. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well kept, the only tiny hole i could pick is that they could do with some new towels but you wouldn't let that spoil your holiday .

We stayed her for 4 nights during our first time in Italy. We were driving a rental car but the place was very hard to find, given the lack of street signs in this part of Italy - our advice is to just call Carmine, the host, when you drive into Sorrento and he will come and meet you. Carmine is very friendly and helpful and provided us with area maps and sight-seeing recommendations. When we decided to take the hydrofoil to Naples one day he drove us down to the port and dropped us off, then picked us up that evening when we called him.|The room was nice, clean and spacious. The setting is in the country, surrounded by citrus and olive groves and it turned out to be a great central place to stay while exploring Pompeii, the Amalfi coast and Paestum, via car. Our only small complaints were the old, worn, thin towels and the skimpy breakfast.

We had a fantastic week here. For us, the experience was made by the friendliness of the proprietor, Carmine, who was always ready to offer a lift into town, suggestions for activitites, or tales from his days in the navy. It is quite a way from central Sorrento - about 15 mins down / 20 mins back up walk to Sant'Agnello where you can catch a train or bus into Sorrento town centre (or another 20 mins or so flat walk). However, Carmine offered us lifts so we only usually had to worry about getting back late at night and were happy to walk, although the roads are quite narrow, unlit country roads in parts. However, the peaceful location on the hillside, with lovely flowers and great views across the bay was a big attraction. The rooms were great - large, with a sofa, bed and reasonably sized ensuite and a patio outside to sit with a glass of limoncello. Ours even had a small stove, fridge, cooking area. Breakfast was basic, but the homemade marmalade and coffee was great. Cannot stress enough, how the attentiveness and generosity of the proprietor, made this a very special holiday for us.

Was advertised as being 1 mile to center of sorrento. This is not the case. Very poor location, very dirty, and a very depressed area. Made for a very unhappy visit.
