Einfach eine super Ferienwohnung! Wir waren eine Woche in der Casa Blu und haben vor allem den Ausblick genossen. Der Balkon ist perfekt, wir haben jeden Morgen hier gefrühstückt mit Blick auf den Lago di Como. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen, die Kuche ist super um auch mal selbst zu kochen und das Bett sehr bequem.
Wir sind auch fast jeden Tag zu Fuß runter nah Varenna, dies ist vor allem auf dem Heimweg etwas kräftezehrend, aber machbar.
Auch Perledo ist ein sehr sehenswerter Ort, ideal für einen kleinen Abendspaziergang im Sonnenuntergang. Ganz in der Nähe ist auch ein Mini Supermarkt, hier kann man innerhalb von wenigen Minuten frische Brötchen holen!

We stayed at Casa Blue in January for a week. At this time the hamlet is quiet which we liked a lot. From the house you can do lots of beautiful walks with stunning views. Casa Blue is tastefully furnished and perfectly equipped with all you need. The apartment is quiet, full of light, a peaceful and cosy place with outstanding views overlooking the lake. Charming hosts. Highly recommended!

Lovely view. Picked this stay for the balcony in particular and had good memories looking out over the lake and mountains with coffee and lunches.

A guide was provided with lots of tips on what to do, see, and eat. It also described the appliances around the apartment.

Struggled with the induction stove initially, because it kept turning itself off every few minutes, but we may have just turned on some setting on accident. No troubles with the stove later

Learning to use a moka pot was fun. The host gave me instructions that were helpful. The washer worked well and the radio was nice. The place was quiet and peaceful and provided all the basic necessities. Host was very responsive. Also need to separate trash by like compost

Unfortunately, the master bedroom bedding was musty and smelled of mildew - maybe wasn’t dried properly. We tried sunning it on the balcony, which helped temporarily, but the smell returned by night. Fortunately, we found extra bedding under the dressers of the other bedroom to use instead later.

We also lost power a few times from using too much at once (ex. using all the stovetops with all the lights on). The guide did warn against using multiple appliances at once and said to fix this by flipping a switch downstairs, which was pretty simple to do.

The place was also pretty clean, but some surfaces were still dusty like the side tables in the smaller bedroom.

The drive was also a bit scary for a manual car, so I suggest getting an automatic car for sure. You can also use a taxi or bus. Walking may be too much, especially with luggage. The driveway is also steep, so take extra care making that turn.

Overall, 4/5 experience for the amazing views with a couple issues.

Casa Blu was really nice, quite modern and had everything we needed! The views were mind-blowing. There was an easy access to a hiking trail and we found it easy to find parking spots close to the cemetery 🙂
